It may be felt by some that I'm a bit late in posting my New Year greeting, but I have taken the route of trying to ease myself into 2008. All too often I think we set ourselves up to fail by putting many expectations of what we could and should achieve in a new year.
In my opinion this may be the cause of many people actually failing in their attempts to attain whatever goals they have. It is widely said that it takes 21 days to make a habit, but so what? That may be the case for many people, but it doesn't have to be the case for you.
An old saying I heard once said, "Don't be one of the many, be one of the few and always paddle your own canoe!"
I like this because it helps me to embrace being who I am and not being defined by the expectations of others.
With this in mind, here's to 2008 being whatever you want it to be, but to be primarily a year of being kind to yourself, conscious awareness and not giving up too soon :o)
